Bibliometric Analysis of Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Research in Indonesia (2005-2025)

This study maps the evolution of agribusiness-entrepreneurship research in Indonesia between 2005 and 2025 using a bibliometric approach. It addresses the absence of a structured and comprehensive knowledge map, a gap that has resulted in sporadic and unsustained entrepreneurship policies and support programmes. Bibliographic data were retrieved from Google Scholar via Publish or Perish and analysed with VOSviewer for network and thematic visualisation. Examination of 2.429 eligible articles produced several thematic clusters, with major concentrations on micro, small, and medium enterprise empowerment, farmers’ roles, and technology integration. The keywords umkm, masyarakat, and petani dominate the research network, while adoption of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) emerges as a salient new theme. These findings highlight the need for cross-disciplinary methodological approaches that link macro-level policy analysis with the micro-level realities of entrepreneurs. Future research agendas should therefore focus on the digital transformation and technology uptake of agribusiness UMKM, the dynamics of entrepreneurial mind-set formation, locally grounded innovation and adaptation, affordable climate-risk-mitigation design, and the role of entrepreneurship in strengthening the resilience of farmers and MSMEs in the face of extreme climate disruptions.
