Abstract

Brucellosis is a zoonotic infectious disease in animals. Economically, brucellosis has a detrimental impact on livestock and human health in the world, including in Indonesia. The Indonesian government has made various efforts to prevent and control brucellosis, but this has not been able to eliminate the impact of brucellosis infection. The purpose of this review is 1) to evaluate the use of brucellosis KAP surveys that have been carried out in Indonesia and 2) to map important and relevant information that helps explore intervention strategies in the prevention and control of potential brucellosis in the future. The review was conducted on four selected journals using a KAP survey related to the prevention and control of brucellosis in Indonesia from 81 journals collected. The results of the review mapped the knowledge, attitudes and practices of field officers and farmers shows that the knowledge of the field officers has a sufficient (medium) level, the attitude is at a good level and the practice is at a good level.Knowledge of farmers has a moderate level, attitudes at a good level and practice at a moderate level. Efforts that can be made for the prevention and control of brucellosis in the future are to increase the knowledge, attitudes and practices of officers and breeders by conducting programmed counseling and training. Curriculum planning, use of appropriate methods and media.
